Today's English word

大家好,他们好吗?今天是星期二。I hope I said that right, if not I am sure someone would correct me. Well, I am slow starting understand more Chinese words, I think I know about 50 to 70 words if not more. After a busy few days I finally have the energy to post something new. I wanted to post something new each day, but I became a little busy. The last few days I have been trying to learn how to count in Chinese and I have got it down or at least I can count from 1 to 100 and I have also learned the days of the week.

The word for today is: Hiatus - which means, a gap or break, as where part is missing, any gap or interruption, as in time.

Today's English word, Chinese questions

你们好,今天你们好吗?我很好。The English word for today is consequence - a result;effect 2. importance - take the consequences to accept the result of one's actions. I know the word for no is 不 but what is the word for yes? and what would be the proper way or the best way to say excuse me, and is there a difference if I was put it in a sentence like( excuse me please let ask or excuse me may I ask). and since I only know a few words can someone give me a new word?

and just for fun I have a tongue twister for everyone I learn from a good friend.
吃葡萄不吐葡萄皮,不吃葡萄到吐葡萄皮。

再见,明天见。

English word of the day

你们好,how is everyone doing today? I thought I would say that is a learning blog and if anyone wants to learn something about America I would be happ to tell you. And maybe someone could post new Chinese words that I dont know and tell me the translation and meaning I would be grateful. What I am trying to say is maybe somebody could post a new Chinese character each day and tell me the meaning and I will post a new English word and its meaning.

Today the word is( Restitution ) giving back something that has been lost or taken away, restoration or reimbursement, as for loss.

hi, Fred, since last time you mentioned the cooking of Chinese dishes, the first thing came to my mind later was the rather common dish of Scrambled Egg and Tomato--Maybe you know how to cook--I write a short recipe onto here for your reference. The way of cooking can be different. (the way i like) may it be the first thread to talk about~

Scrambled Egg and Tomato

Ingrediants

2 big tomato, chopped
3-5 eggs
1 tsp. water (Tomato in itself has water)
3 Garlic leaves, minced
2 tsp. olive or vegetable oil
a spoon of salt
a spoon of sugar

Cooking:

Beat the egg , water and garlic together.
Heat oil
add the egg mixture.
Cook and stir gently until the egg is nearlyset.
Add the tomato mixture and the salt.
Cook and stir until the egg is completely set and the tomatoes are unshaped.

P.S, the spoons of salt and sugar's subject to your own taste. and there's no accurate measure of nutritions. cuz it's the Chinese way to cook. All by taste, color, smell ~~ ,hope you like it!
